Is Mirror really free forever? +
Yes. Mirror runs entirely on your phone, with no backend, no API costs, and no third-party SDKs. There is no recurring infrastructure cost we’d need to recover. The free tier isn’t a freemium hook; it’s the whole product.
Where’s the catch? +
No ads. No data sales. No tracking. The honest trade is convenience: Mirror does not connect to your bank, your payroll, or any third-party data source — you enter your transactions yourself. Some people prefer that. Others won’t. If you wouldn’t, Mirror probably isn’t for you.
Will there ever be a paid tier? +
Maybe, eventually — but only if there’s something genuinely additive to charge for (e.g. premium share formats, a household-shared mode, optional cloud sync). Anything paid would be a strict add-on. The current feature set will always remain free.
Is there a household or family plan? +
Not at launch. Each install is solo, on each person’s phone. Household and partner-shared mode is on the roadmap if there’s enough demand. Until then, two people can run two separate Mirrors on their own devices.
What if I have variable income or multiple jobs? +
Set a single representative rate that reflects your average post-tax take-home. Editable any time in Settings. The reflection is meant to be a north star, not a tax filing — pick a rate that feels honest to you.
